Vivo is a brand that has been around for a while, and its new iQOO 7 Legend is designed for those that like to multitask. It has all the bells and whistles you would want in a gaming smartphone, including a RAM of 3GB and a dual rear camera with 13MP+13MP sensors. It also has Android 8.1, so you don’t have to be an old-school gamer to use it.

The Vivo iQOO 7 (also known as Vivo NEX) is a midrange smartphone that aims to be the best in the mid-range. In terms of features, the iQOO 7 is sporting a Full HD+ 22.5:9 display, Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, a dual rear camera setup, 16MP front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery.

The iQOO 7 Legend has a beautiful design and reliable build quality. The BMW Motorsport-style three-stripe paint job with white paint, metal frame and frosted glass is attractive. The design of the phone is unique when compared to other devices available in the market.

The rectangular camera module on the back doesn’t stand out too much, which is a good thing since most recent phones have a large camera overflow. He weighs 165 grams. The frame is slightly curved, but you can hold the phone better thanks to the metal finish and curved edges.

The power button and textured volume are located on the right side of the frame. It has no headphone jack. The matte finish on the back prevents fingerprints and smudges. To protect the glass from damage, you should use a phone case.

This room has a flat-screen TV. The front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The 6.2-inch AMOLED screen supports a refresh rate of about 120 Hz. It has a Smart Switch option that automatically switches to the appropriate refresh rate depending on the usage scenario.

The iQOO 7 has an incredible screen that offers eye-catching colors and sharp images. The color temperature of the monitor is accurate and can be changed in the monitor settings if you are not satisfied with the default color temperature. It also supports HDR10+ and offers a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. The smartphone is Widevine L1 DRM certified, so you can comfortably watch Netflix or Prime Video content in the highest resolution.

Vivo has announced a feature that increases the touch sampling rate to reduce input latency. The iQOO 7 Legend has a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz, which can be increased to about 1000 Hz. Unfortunately, there is no way to manually enable/disable or configure it.

The iQOO 7 Legend has a triple camera on the back consisting of a 48-megapixel-f/1.79 main camera, a 13-megapixel-f/2.46 TV camera (with 2x optical zoom) and a 13-megapixel-f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. The 16 megapixel f/2.0 camera takes selfies. The camera interface is similar to that of Vivo and iQOO smartphones, with all basic controls available with a simple touch.

The main camera can capture incredible images in daylight with good color reproduction and high dynamic range. The exhibition is incredible. Photos taken in the 48MP mode are well detailed and clear.

It can quickly focus on a subject and create beautiful images for Instagram. It captures an ultra-wide-angle image. It also offers a wide field of view with nearly equal levels of sharpness, color contrast and zero tonal distortion, which is fantastic.

In low light conditions, the camera can take attractive selfies with a natural skin tone. You can also take better pictures in low light and at night, depending on the amount of light around you. In night mode, colours and details are perfectly preserved, even with a minimal light source.

The quality of the video, made with his phone, was pretty good. The iQOO 7 Legend’s camera did a good job with 1080p video at 30 and 60 frames per second, with great detail and good stabilization. In addition, the 4K videos showed a high level of detail and good stabilization, even while walking or panning. Videos shot in low light were of very good quality and had lower noise levels. The ultra-wide-angle camera offers good quality (with some purple color fringing) in daylight and low light, but the lack of stabilization resulted in unstable shots.

The 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The touch sensitivity was fantastic, and during our test we had no problems scrolling through apps or playing games with high graphics. In direct sunlight, reading the screen was no problem. The colors were natural and the sharpness at 394 ppi was undeniable. Vivo said that the screen of the 7 Legend is HDR10+ certified. Unfortunately, the YouTube app offers HDR10 streaming, which Netflix does not.

Both speakers can be quite loud and the sound is clear and balanced, making them suitable for gaming as well as watching TV shows, movies or listening to music.

In benchmarks, the iQOO 7 Legend performed well against other high-end smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It scored 8,23,003 in AnTuTu, and 1,138 and 3,668 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

The gameplay of the iQOO 7 Legend was fun and smooth. During the test we played games like Call of Duty and Asphalt 9 : Captions.

Call of Duty and Asphalt 9 Legends were played on high settings and the gameplay was excellent. After more than an hour of play, things heated up at the back. There is a game sidebar that allows you to change certain settings while playing. These include screen shots, vibrations in a 4D game, call notifications, touch button assignment, screen recording and auto-play when the screen is off.

Gaming features such as 4D dual linear vibration motors and pressure sensitive screen sensors provide a truly superior gaming experience that is a reality for Battle Royale games. Game Mode Ultra includes Eagle Eye View, which offers contrast, sharpness and good local sound settings. You can enable or disable this mode in the Game sidebar.

The iQOO 7 Legend is equipped with two incredible speakers that offer a balanced performance with good mids and highs. The overall performance is also fantastic. Multitasking was nice and smooth, and we had no problems scrolling or browsing websites or the user interface.

In our test, the 4000 mAh battery unfortunately only lasted one day on a single charge. Only after a few phone calls, a few photos, an hour of playing, surfing the web and social media, did the IQOO 7 Legend go out at the end of the day. Changing the refresh rate from 120 Hz to Auto or 60 Hz increased battery life by an hour and a half. On the other hand, the battery lasted for 13 hours while testing looped HD videos, which is a bit low for a premium smartphone.

iQOO has a fast charging adapter in the box. The 66W charger can take the iQOO 7 Legend from a dead battery to a 100% charge in about 31 minutes.
