You now have two search bars on the Windows 11 22000.65 build

Microsoft has released Windows 10 version 22000.65 to the Insider testers, and we thought it would be interesting to take a look at it again. The first thing you’ll notice is that the taskbar has changed: it now has two search bars, and they can be activated by clicking on the search icon in the Start menu. The change actually happened in Windows 10 build 18362, so users who upgraded from 18361, 18362 or earlier will still see the old search bar.

A new Windows Insider build of Windows 10 was released to the fast ring on April 11th, 2016. This new build contains two new search bars. One is a small gray search bar with the Windows logo in it, and one is a larger yellow search bar. The new search bars are clearly aimed at providing a better experience for right-handed users.

  • With the release of pre-build 22000.65, Microsoft is introducing another change to the user interface.
  • The technology company has added a new search bar at the top of the Start menu.
  • While most users are happy with this new addition, some find it totally unnecessary.
  • Others think this decision was made to improve the touchscreen experience of Windows 11.

Another decision by Microsoft regarding the user interface is hotly debated among users, with some applauding the move while others point out its uselessness.

The new Windows 11 version 22000.65 brings some changes, including the appearance of another search bar that most people don’t care about or don’t even notice.

Build 22000.65 introduces a different search box in Windows 11

As you probably know, Windows 11 build 22000.65 is now available to Windows Insiders in the Dev channel.

This is actually the second update for Windows 11, and as we mentioned earlier, it brings a new search bar for the Start menu, power modes for Windows settings, and improves the overall taskbar.

This additional search feature was first announced by the Redmond-based technology company during its launch event on the 24th. June announced and is basically a shortcut to their existing Windows Search.

So when you type text into the new search box, it just switches to the Windows search bar. After this update, the Windows Start menu and search function look more transparent when you use a bright theme.

However, Microsoft may be secretly working on a separate search bar for the Start menu, as we will find out in the coming months.

Not everyone is happy with this innovation

While Microsoft has chosen this UI solution to help users by allowing them to use search functions from multiple locations, some find the new search bar completely unnecessary.

This topic is widely discussed on social media and so far users are divided into three different camps.

First there are those who liked the tech company’s new idea, then those who are vehemently opposed to it, and finally there are the users who haven’t even noticed the changes or just don’t care.

Some even believe that this change was introduced primarily to help people who use the upcoming operating system on touchscreen devices.

It’s not that unlikely, given that Windows 11 will be available to everyone when it’s available to everyone.

Although there are mixed feelings about this, we cannot consider this change a bad thing. Any improvement should be welcomed and made the most of.

If you are also using Windows 11 version 22000.65, make sure you are aware of the bugs in this version of the operating system.
